Day 1: Marc's Treehouse Lodge, Motlala Game Reserve

Arrive at Marc's Treehouse Lodge via the Balule section of the Kruger Park. This backpacker lodge is situated in the Motlala Game Reserve which is home to 3 of the Big Five, namely Black and White Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo. Relax with a refreshing dip in the pool or early sundowner at the bar. You will then head out into the African bush for a sunset game drive.

Keep an eye out for South Africa's Big Five (Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, Lion and Rhino). Your Kruger Park safari guide will locate African game with a spotlight. Return to camp for a traditional South African meal served next to an open fire in the boma (outdoor enclosure).

Day 2: Kruger National Park, South Africa

Today is spent exploring the Kruger National Park where you'll be able to enjoy excellent game viewing opportunities. Remember to take you camera with to capture your game viewing memories. African wildlife you might spot includes Rhino, Zebra, Giraffe, Lion and several antelope species. The area is also rich in bird life.

You will return to the rustic yet authentic lodge for a delicious South African meal in the boma (outdoor enclosure). Relax next to the warmth of the crackling fire after your meal and share your Kruger Park safari experience.

Day 3: Marc's Treehouse Lodge, Motlala Game Reserve

Wake up early and join a guided game walk in the African bush. Game walks are ideal for experiencing the bush up close. Keep an eye out for Buffalo, Nyala and some of the numerous bird species found in the area. Return to a delicious breakfast before departing for Johannesburg via the Blyde River Canyon. Arrival in Johannesburg is scheduled for the late afternoon. Airport drop off can be arranged on request.

Optional day 4: Kruger National Park, South Africa

On day 4 of your Kruger Park budget safari you will wake up early and head out on an early morning game drive in the Kruger National Park. Keep an eye out for Hyena, Elephant, Buffalo and the striking Baobab trees. Return to Marc's Treehouse Lodge for a delicious breakfast before departing for Johannesburg. The transfer to Johannesburg will take you through the scenic Blyde River Canyon. Arrival in Johannesburg is scheduled for the late afternoon. Airport drop off can be arranged on request.

Optional day 5: Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre

On day 5 of your 6 day Kruger Park safari, you will visit the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre for orphaned and injured animals. You will learn more about caring for these animals and conservation issues. Enjoy lunch before heading off on a sunset game drive. Some of the nocturnal game you might spot includes Lion, Hyena and Jackal.

Optional day 6: Endangered Species Project

Today marks the last day of your 6 day Kruger Park budget safari. You will visit the Endangered Species Project and enjoy a tour of the facility. Savour the experience of being able to get up close to Cheetah, Wild Dog and several other endangered species.

After a delicious lunch, you will visit an African tribal village. Learn more about the culture and traditions of the Shangaan people. This marks the end of your Kruger Park safari. The transfer to Johannesburg will take you through the scenic Blyde River Canyon. Arrival in Johannesburg is scheduled for the late afternoon. Airport drop off can be arranged on request.
